Centered on the Congress theme, keynote addresses will be delivered by international organizations, health ministers from various countries, and internationally renowned experts.
(3) Government Forum
This forum will address the four key areas of the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy: “Promoting Cross-Sector Collaboration”, “Emphasizing Evidence-Based Practice”, “Enhancing Regulation”, and “Facilitating Integration”. Health ministers, officials from international organizations, and experts are invited to discuss topics such as “Integration of Traditional Medicine with Primary Healthcare”, “Training and Sustainable Development for Traditional Medicine Professionals”, “Service Quality and Product Regulation in Traditional Medicine”, and “Innovation, Heritage, and Cross-Sector Collaboration in Traditional Medicine”.
The forum also features dialogs on “Evidence-Based Research in Traditional Medicine” and “Role of Traditional Medicine in Primary Healthcare”.
The government forum and dialog sessions will be conducted in a plenary format, with all participants invited.
(4) Parallel Forums
The Congress will spotlight five major topics: “Policy, Practice, Herbal Medicines, Research, as well as Data and Digital regarding Traditional Medicine”. Multiple parallel forums will be held. These include:
Government Forum on Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on integrating traditional and modern medicine, multi-sector collaboration, strengthening regulation on traditional medicine, primary healthcare, and evidence-based medicine.
Forum on Scientific Research on Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on topics such as resources for traditional medicines, sustainable supply, quality controllability, safety, and standards setting research.
Forum on Integration of Traditional and Modern Medicine: Discussions and communications will focus on advancements in integrating traditional and modern medicine in the prevention and treatment of major diseases like cardiovascular diseases, cancers, infectious diseases, and metabolic diseases.
Forum on Clinical and Experimental Acupuncture Research: Discussions will focus on fundamental research in acupuncture, clinical practices, case studies, and integrated health services.
Forum on Evidence-Based Traditional Medicine Forum: Discussions will focus on the design and methodology of research in complex and holistic interventions within traditional medicine and progress in evidence-based research.
Forum on Education of Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on education of traditional medicine, with discussions covering sustainable professional development and educational models.
Forum on Regulation and High-Quality Development of Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on national and international herbal pharmacopeias, and the regulation of traditional medicine products.
Forum on Standards for Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on setting and harmonizing standards for traditional medicine.
Forum on Digital and Intelligent Traditional Medicine: Discussions will focus on the application of big data, artificial intelligence, and real-world data (RWD) in traditional medicine as well as ICD-11.
Director's Forum of WHO Global Traditional Medicine Center: Discussions will focus on the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy, this forum will bring together collaboration center directors to discuss strategic initiatives.
