Research, documentation and generation of evidence on health and traditional medicines

Soon you will find in this section information related to the mechanisms, procedures and regulations developed in the countries of the region to research aspects related to traditional medicines, their knowledge and know-how; as well as on the research carried out and evidence documents prepared by Indigenous populations, Afro-descendant Roma and other ethnic peoples, academia or institutions on these medicines, their health agents, practices, procedures and treatments; research carried out by academia and by the populations themselves on conceptions of health and disease, use, transformation and commercialization of medicinal plants; their diseases; sociocultural epidemiology, health situation from their own and Western or allopathic perspectives, among other topics.
